Happy Hatch Day

Hello, friends! Today, I am sharing some cards using the new Happy Hatch Day Birds digital images at Tiddly Inks. I was inspired by the latest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches - #429.

I first colored the images with Copics and then die cut them with my diagonal stitched rectangle dies. The card base has a layer of pink cardstock and two smaller rectangles cut from patterned paper. The image is layered on darker pink cardstock and secured to craft foam for dimension. Then I added a sentiment to the lower left corner of each card.

I added some bright yellow Stickles to the center of each flower for some additional dimension and interest.

For the inside, I stamped two sentiments from a coordinating set in dark pink ink. I finished off the inside by coloring the word, HUGS, with my Copics (Y13).

For my second card, I followed the same sketch but changed up the sentiment for a birthday card. I added glossy accents to the center of the flower for some shine.

These little chicks are super cute. They are perfect for birthdays, Easter, spring time, and for uplifting someone's day during these crazy times. Since the kids and I have been in self-isolation at our home for 3 weeks, it's been really hard to find time for myself while teleworking and homeschooling. It felt really good to get crafty this morning and I hope that these cards bring a little bit of joy and happiness to those who receive them.

Thanks for stopping by!
