Get Your Fat Pants Ready

Hello, friends! If you celebrate Thanksgiving like our family does, the happy countdown to sharing a wonderful feast with family and friends is on! We are hosting dinner this year at our new house so I decided to make some vases that we could use as centerpieces.

When I saw this Thanksgiving Oddball stamp from Stamping Bella, I knew it would be perfect for our Thanksgiving celebration this year!! And thanks to the fast shipping by Simon Says Stamp, it arrived early which gave me time over the weekend to get crafty.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock, colored her with Copics and ink blended vintage photo distress ink around the edges. I die cut this piece (using the Flippin' Awesome Add-Ons stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn) and secured it to a kraft tag which was also ink blended with vintage photo and walnut stain distress inks. The sentiment (on the mini tag) is included in the stamp set as well.

To bring out the orange highlights in the image, I added the My Favorite Things grateful word die cut (layered 4 times - three times in white and top layer in orange cardstock - for rigidity) that was ink blended with vintage photo distress ink and coated with glossy accents for a nice shine.

I secured the tag with skinny ribbon around a mason jar and added a plaid ribbon on top to hide the knot in the back.

Hopefully, our family and guests will get a kick out of these centerpieces. I just loved that sentiment when I saw it!! May we all be grateful for our blessings this holiday season --- and appreciative for having our fat pants ready.

Thanks for stopping by!
