Crafty Friends Create Happiness
Hi everyone! Today, I am sharing a card that I made for a crafty friend using the new Butterfly Girl digital stamp that was just released at All Dressed Up. It's a different color combo than what I'm used to using but I do like how bright and cheery this card turned out.
I got the idea for this card from this sketch on Pinterest. The image was colored with Copics and then cut with my stitched circle dies. That panel is secured to the butterfly embossed orange flag with foam tape.
The yellow background layer started as white cardstock before I blended on spiced marmalade and wild honey distress inks. The little layered flowers are also inked with wild honey, ripe persimmon, and blueprint sketch distress inks. I added a little brad in the center and attached them to the white die cut circle. To finish off the front, I added blue and orange twine and secured everything to a navy blue top-folding A2 card base.
You can find Butterfly Girl in the shop now if you want to make a card for one of your crafty friends. Remember to share your projects over on the ADU Facebook page so we can leave you some lovely comments. I do look forward to seeing how the new images inspire you! Don't forget!! If you add some embellishments, you can also enter it into our current ADU Facebook Challenge for May.
Thanks for stopping by!!
