World Card Making Day 2017

Hi, everyone!! Today crafters all over the world are celebrating World Card Making Day! I created this cool postcard showcasing the birthday invitation that I made for my daughter's 10th birthday party tomorrow.

My daughter is having her birthday party at a high ropes course called Go-Ape! so I knew the Tiddly Inks Monkey Around - Wryn digi would be perfect for this occasion. I printed her on my black and white laser printer with a computer generated sentiment then colored her with my Copics. I die cut the panel with my stitched rectangles die and matted that layer on turquoise cardstock. That panel is then mounted to a white card base with craft foam for more stability.

I left the card front clean and simple and wrapped some purple twine for additional texture and interest.

It's been such a busy week and I've been sleep deprived from crafting into the wee hours of the morning. But I have been fairly productive between working on my Kit and Clowder monthly coloring class project to crafting Tiddly Inks design team cards to finishing a Christmas card for an international holiday card swap that I committed to. I also took my daughter and her friend to a "Mommy & Me" sewing class last night and we had a blast making pillows. I ended up making two much-needed throw pillows for our couch!

Between baseball games and prepping for the birthday party, I do hope I will have time to make some cards today. What will you be working on this weekend for World Card Making Day???

Thanks for stopping by!!
