Guest Designer for MarkerPop Challenge #115

Hi, everyone!! Today I am excited to be joining the MarkerPop team as a guest designer for their new color challenge: #115 Shades of Winter.

This color challenge had me stumped for a bit until I came across this card on Pinterest which inspired me to use paint chips in my design.

I heat embossed the arctic penguins and snowflakes in white onto the paint chip then trimmed it down to size to fit the width of an A2 card. I secured that piece to a white scalloped stitched panel and then stamped the sentiment.

I added a strip of black cardstock (embossed with a chevron embossing folder then trimmed down with scissors) to hide where the two layers meet. This was popped up with foam tape. Lastly, I tied a thin piece of ribbon into a knot for additional interest.

This is the first time I used a paint chip in a card design and I love the end result!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
