Thanks You Make My Tail Wag
Hi, everyone!! Today I have a fun card to share that I made with several My Favorite Things goodies. I am entering this card into the current MFT color challenge and also the sketch challenge.
This week's color challenge was the perfect combination of colors because when I placed my last order with MFT over the holidays, they threw in a surprise mystery gift which was a 4-cube ink pad set that included the summer splash and tropical teal colors! I didn't have any MFT inks in my collection so this was such a wonderful gift! Thank you so much!!
For this card, I used stamps from the BB You Make My Tail Wag and the BB Adorable Elephants sets. I used full-adhesive post-it notes for masking which allows the appearance of one dog sitting on top of the other dog. I also stretched by stamps by masking off part of the "thank you" sentiment.
The sentiment is stamped in Tropical Teal ink and I blended Summer Splash ink along the edges of the white stitched panel. Dried marigold distress ink is blended onto the edges of the sentiment banner.
All images are colored with Copics:
To finish off the card front, I added strips of washi tape to the card base before adding the popped up stitched panel. On the inside, I grounded a coordinating sentiment and the fire hydrant die cut with a single strip of washi tape.
Thanks for stopping by!!
