Holly Molly Christmas
Hi everyone! I'm popping in quick this morning to share one of my favorite Christmas cards from this year, using the beautiful Holly Molly image from Tiddly Inks. Since the design team is on Tiddlycation until early February, I couldn't NOT share this gorgeous card!
I started with a 4" x 4" card base in green that gets mounted to a flat 5-1/4" x 5-1/4" square in red. Since the card like this won't stand on its own, I had to add an easel to the back of the card that I cut on my Silhouette Cameo. If you don't have an electronic die cutting machine, I also added a link to a similar BIGZ die by Tim Holtz that you can use with your Big Shot or Big Kick.
The snowflakes are stamped in Galaxy Gold pigment ink and heat embossed in clear, creating a subtle background on the red cardstock. The same ink was used on the inside greeting which really pops against the white.
Molly is colored with Copics and to finish off the card, I added some glossy accents to the holly berries in her hair.
This card really tops my list of favorite Christmas cards I have made this year! I couldn't even come to terms with writing on the interior. Instead, I added my greeting on a post-it note so that the recipient could share it with someone else.
I hope this Tiddly creation gets you into the holiday spirit! Our family has lots going on this Christmas and the festivities start today so I will likely be taking a blogging break over the next week or so to spend time with my family.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!
