Tiddly Inks Frosty Feeling Penguins

Hello! A new challenge begins today over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog. We want to see cards and projects that bring on a Frosty Feeling, so think blues, purples, silver snowflakes and ice.

My make for this challenge uses the new Be Cool and Love Each Other Penguins freebie. I was inspired by this watercolored penguin by SlaviART.

I colored the image with Copics:

Once I had my coloring done, I trimmed out the image with my stitched rectangle dies and then mounted several layers of them together to give the card some dimension and stability. Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet distress inks were blended onto the blue card base layer and also onto the top layer of the sentiment.

The coordinating shadow die cut was cut from 120# Neenah Solar White Cardstock and then a thin layer of Nuvo Glimmer Paste was applied to give it a wonderful sparkle. A few blue and clear rhinestones finish off the card front.

Also, this inside sentiment from another stamp set fit the theme perfectly:

Now it's your turn! Link up your Frosty Feeling projects for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Tiddly Inks shop. If you need more design team inspiration, you can also see what my teammates have been up to this week. They really got into this one!!
