Hi everyone! Today I have a special retirement card to share that I made for my father-in-law. He retired last week after working 30+ years with the St. Catherines, Ontario transit system in Canada.
I colored the
Lazy Afternoon rubber stamp from Lili of the Valley with Copics and then die cut the panel with my stitched rectangle dies.
I also blended on some tumbled glass distress ink along the top portion of the image to represent the sky. The image is mounted on a panel of kraft cardstock blended with vintage photo and gathered twigs distress inks. The edge of the banner is also blended with distress inks and stamped in baked brown sugar dye ink. Everything is mounted on a white A2 top-folding card base.
These LOTV images are so adorable!! I haven't used them in a while so it was nice to pull this one out of my crafty stash. This little guy is just chillin' on the hillside taking an afternoon nap with his newspaper. The joys of retirement!! 😉
Thanks for stopping by!!
