Guest Designer for W2CB February Challenge

Hi, everyone! Today I am excited to be joining Words 2 Craft By as a Guest I-Teamer for their February challenge. I used the Wryn - Heartfelt Love digital stamp from Tiddly Inks for my main image and added a mixed media background using a tutorial found on My Creative Scoop. I also thought the hearts and the love frame went hand-in-hand with today's challenge theme.

"I can promise all my heart's devotion; A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow; A love that's true and ever growing; A hand to hold in your's through each tomorrow." -- Mark Twain

I colored the image and then masked it all off before stamping the grunge background. After taking the time to color my image, this made me really nervous because I was afraid that I would mess it all up. I was surprised at how easy it ended up and I really do love the way it came out.

I planned out which colors of distress ink I was going to use and chose Copics that would coordinate thanks to this handy free chart I found online.

To make it my own, I also created a fun frame on my Silhouette Cameo by welding two rectangles together with a cursive love cut out. I layered the frame twice and then added two more layers of love on top to add some dimension. To finish off the card, I added a layer of purple spica gel pen to give the love some sparkle and glossy accents to a few of the hearts.

I hope you enjoyed this card today and I hope it not only provides inspiration but gives you the courage to try something new. Many thanks need to be shared with Sybrina and the rest of the ladies on the W2CB design team for giving me this fabulous opportunity! It was a lot of fun and I am honored to have been selected as this month's Guest I-Teamer!

Thanks for stopping by!!
