You Nailed It

Hi, everyone! Our family has lots of December birthdays so today I have a card that I made for my Dad using a new stamp set I purchased from Darcie's that I found at a craft show in my area. I fell in love with these owls and that little tin pin embellishment adds just the right dimension to his body.

Here's the sentiment on the inside:

I trimmed the top off of the frame with my notebook border die and popped it up with foam tape. The lower third of the card base is stamped with the coordinating hammer and saw stamps that came in the set and it is anchored with blue striped washi tape. The happy die cut is layered three times and finished off with a coat of glossy accents.

We all enjoyed celebrating with a little Mexican - and we surprised him with the sombrero and fried ice cream.
