Yo Matey - Paper Smooches Sparks

Hello, crafty friends!! Today I have a card to share for the current Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge this week. I was first inspired by this card by Kay Miller to try out my Ahoy Me Hearty stamp set and coordinating Ahoy Icons dies for the first time.

I used mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon, and picked raspberry distress inks to watercolor the background on Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. The parrot is colored with Copics. I partially die cut the parrot using the Ahoy Icons Dies so he would remain as one piece with the stitched circle die cut.

 

A few coordinating stamps from the set with the sentiment and a few clear sequins finish off the card.
