Sending Prayers

Hello everyone!! Today was simply fabulous! My hubby took the kids to Busch Gardens so I could have the entire afternoon for crafting! I took advantage of the peace and quiet and made two cards before the kiddos came home. Here is the first card I created...

I was inspired by the design and layout of this pin. I thought it would make a nice sympathy card for a friend of the family. The butterflies are inked with squeezed lemonade and picked raspberry distress inks and then stamped with Melon Mambo dye ink.

The patterned paper comes from an Echo Park Christmas pad. The Italian Flourish Doily is cut from a platinum vellum. To create the focal point, I started with a stitched rectangle and then partially cut the stitched scalloped border along the bottom. I die cut "sending" three times and then secured the word to the banner sentiment from the Sending Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Here you can see the many layers:

I popped up the layers and embellishments with dimensionals and foam tape and also applied glossy accents to the word die. I love how shiny it looks!!

 Thanks for stopping by!!
