Life Is Better In Flip Flops - Tiddly Inks DT Call

Hello, crafty friends! What are you waiting for? You need to grab your favorite Tiddly Inks image and put your name in the hat for the current Tiddly Inks design team call.

Today I am excited to share a card using Beach Babe from the Wryn Beach Bonanza digital set. Doesn't she just make you want to run down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina before summer comes to a screeching halt? Hmm... maybe not such a bad idea after all!!

I feel like you get a lot of bang for your buck with this set because it also comes with several accessories (like the umbrella, crabby sand bucket and much more) to create a fabulous beach scene. I created the dune grass and strip of "water" at the bottom using antique linen, scattered straw, tea dye, stormy sky, and chipped sapphire distress inks. The reeds are stamped second generation with Stampin' Up baked brown sugar dye ink.

To coordinate everything together, I dyed white seam binding with stormy sky, chipped sapphire, and tea dye distress inks and added some linen thread for texture. A dab of glossy accents on the crab and hair clip finishes off the card.

I do hope you will join me in applying for the Tiddly Inks Design Team. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to be part of the team last August for a few months and it was awesome!! Christy certainly knows how to pick a fabulous group of ladies as well as provide amazing opportunities to grow professionally in the world of paper crafting.

If interested, you can view some of my previous design team samples here and here. Thanks so much, Christy, for giving all of us Tiddly Inks fans another opportunity to try out for the team!
