Let's Celebrate with SSS Citrus with a Twist
Hello! Today, I have a fun birthday card to share using a surprise gift of goodies from Simon Says Stamp for being a featured designer in their August 2015 edition of "Spotted". This is a limited edition set called Stamptember and designed by Paper Smooches. Let me just say, I'm still blown away with all of the goodies I received - SSS is very generous indeed!!
This card will be entered in their SSS Monday Challenge: Citrus with a Twist. Don't you just love those cool citrus colors (minus the blue, of course!)?
So now back to my card... the balloons are inked up with Simon Says Stamp dye ink (jellybean, starkist, and blue jay) from their Color of Fun release. The striped stencil backdrop was lightly inked with jellybean ink as well. The orange strip of cardstock from Stampin' Up is popped up with foam tape and the sentiment is heat embossed in white.
I was first inspired by this card on Pinterest. Hopefully, Pastor Stu will be surprised to receive this card and enjoy another opportunity to celebrate his milestone birthday!
Thanks for stopping by!!

I made this card for our pastor, Stu Hodges, because he recently celebrated his 40th Birthday. We are new members of Waters Edge Church and his message last week was all about getting old and included four of his most important life lessons. He is a phenomenal pastor and Waters Edge has definitely changed the way we think about church. I grew up going to church but haven't been very good about attending as an adult. Some of our neighbors invited us to attend Waters Edge and we have been committed to attending each week ever since. It's been a great experience so far for the entire family!!
