A Dog Hero Thanks
Hi everyone!! I have a quick card to share with you before the long holiday weekend here in the United States. We've been traveling for the last three weekends in a row and have had our share of dog sitters staying at our house. I couldn't be more thankful for the grad students who have helped out from VIMS.
Inspired by this pin, I finally got around to using my sassy letters dies from Paper Smooches. I wanted this card to be representative of our dogs so I made the little dog from the Mama Elephant tiny heroes stamp set to look like our chocolate lab puppy, Piper.
I also blended the bottom half of the letters with scuba ink, a new color from Simon Says Stamps latest release. Believe it or not, it coordinated perfectly with my Stampin' Up cardstock that is peeking through from underneath. You can see it a little bit better here:
And here's a cutie patootie photo of our chocolate lab puppy, Piper, because I couldn't resist sharing. She's a growing girl - just had her 14-week check-up yesterday and she's already a whopping 28 pounds!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Jen,
ReplyDeleteCutie Patootie, indeed! I smiled when I read those words -- because I use the same description for our little doggie -- and saw your adorable pup.
Now for your sweet thank you card. That's one creative interpretation of our friend-with-chocolate W2SB challenge! Love your fabulous letters, and your sitters will love receiving their cards.
Thanks so much for playing along with our Words 2 Scrap By challenge! We're so glad you did. :)
Oh what an adorable puppy! Don't dare show this picture to my hubby--he loves chocolate labs--although he agrees our 2 yr old puppy dog, Fritz, is all we need--LOL! LOVE your card--terrific design! Glad you joined us at W2SB!
