Happy Birthday Stand-Up: The Stamps of Life DT Call
Hi, everyone! We have a couple of birthdays in our family coming up next week so I've been busy making invitations and cards - you name it!! Today's card features products from The Stamps of Life. I will also be entering this design in their DT call which happens to be hot off the press! Yay!!
I really enjoyed having time to play with my January card kit club goodies. These kits really are a great value and the patterned paper is perfect for us card crafters. If you haven't tried out this kit club, I highly recommend it!!
It was a breeze putting this card together with my Royal Stand-Ups Framelits. The patterned paper, coordinating cardstock and embellishments came with my card kit club shipment. I didn't want to cover up those gorgeous banners, so I added a single layer of a silver shimmery vellum for the sentiment and anchored it with two small black enamel dots. The word "happy" was die cut three times, layered, and adhered to the card front with a thick coating of glossy accents. It adds dimension and looks wet and shiny in person!!
The candles4birthday (with coordinating dies) and the morecandles2stamp sets are a favorite of mine and they are perfect for this occasion. If you didn't know any better, you may have thought that they came with the card kit club. They have such wonderful patterns and a variety of sentiments.
To finish off the card, I added another strip of vellum to the interior and stamped the candle border in primary colors to complement the card front. I kept the interior simple so it wouldn't take away from the card front when the card is propped up.
I really enjoyed sharing today's project with you and I'm keeping all fingers crossed that I have an opportunity to share more designs with you over the weeks to come.
