Let the Birthday Festivities Begin!!
Hi, everyone!! Today, let the birthday festivities begin! Our oldest turned seven today and I am actively trying to get everything ready for her birthday party this weekend. Last night, I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning making her birthday card to go along with this week's Frozen theme.
I guess you can say I've started a tradition of sending handmade cards to school in her lunch box on occasion so the little tag you see above will be included in her bento lunch box with an assortment of mini marshmallows (snowman poop) and blue M&M's (elf poop - since our Birthday Elf on the Shelf remembered to fly in last night for today's celebration).
In less than an hour, her dad and I will be joining her for lunch at school -- and be the bearer of cupcakes to her classmates. Can't wait to be there, but long story short… I ordered the Frozen cupcakes late yesterday afternoon for pickup this morning and then had to call the store at 9:00 a.m. this morning to see if they could squeeze in one extra chocolate cupcake -- who knew there would be such a revolt against vanilla cupcakes at our house before going to bed last night!! Fortunately, they had not baked the cupcakes yet and I was able to switch the entire order to chocolate! I owe the glorious baking angels at our local Farm Fresh Supermarket big time. One day, I hope my daughter will truly appreciate what we parents do for our kids.
This is just the beginning of the week's birthday festivities. Please stay tuned because tomorrow, you'll get to see her party invitations!
Thanks for stopping by!
