Halloween Challenge to Use Non-Traditional Colors

Hi, everyone! Today marks a new challenge over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog! We want to see your halloween cards and projects using non-traditional colors so that means no black and orange!!

Here is my take on this week's theme using My Batty Hero along with the balloon digital stamp from Flying High Anna Belle. Let's just say this little guy is all decked out in his halloween costume and ready to go because trick-or-treating is the "best day ever"!

To create the background, I blended on distress inks and then stamped a bat image across the page using this easy tutorial by Jennifer McGuire. I colored the image with Copics and popped him up with dimensionals. A yellow twine bow and some glossy accents finish off the card.

I have to be honest with you -- I really struggled with this one! I just couldn't get myself into the mindset for creating a Halloween card and to not use black or orange, oh my!! I'm pretty sure this is due to my focus being on creating invitations and goody bags for a certain seven-year-old's Frozen-themed birthday party this past weekend.

But I am really happy with this card and I can totally see myself giving it to a little boy on his birthday. Isn't it nice when cards have a dual purpose???

So now it's your turn to link up your creations using non-traditional halloween colors. I hope you can join us in this challenge and also share your projects over on our Facebook page. And if you need more inspiration, don't forget to checkout the awesome work by the rest of the design team! We had fun with this one!!

Thanks for stopping by!
