Feeling Caribbean

Before the month of June comes to an end, I have a quick card to share with you that I made for my sister's birthday celebration on Sunday. I feel like June was a complete whirlwind -- not to mention we were recently in the Dominican Republic for a week at a good friend's destination wedding. Our first extended trip -- just the two of us -- in almost 7 years!!! It served a dual purpose for our 10-year wedding anniversary this year!  I mean, where does the time go? If you have kids, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I added a scrap of Cryogen White cardstock to the Bermuda Bay card base that has a cute little gift box border (from the Verve Borderline set) stamped in Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, and Crisp Cantaloupe. For the focal point, I stamped a stitched rectangle and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Verve Treasured Words set in coordinating Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral inks and secured it to the card front with foam tape. A big SP In Color blue lagoon button threaded with Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe twine add a finished look to the card.  

After talking about all of these really cool colors, I feel like I'm back in the Caribbean!! Here's another close-up:
