Happy Birthday, Blue!

Today, I finally found time to get this post up. I've been wanting to share this card that I created for my nephew Blake's first birthday party a few weeks ago. He invited all of us to his "farm" and my sister did a dynamite job decorating!

To go along with the theme, part of our gift was the "Little Blue Truck" duo of board books. Our two-year-old son is a big fan of these stories so we had to get Blake his own set. When I saw the Taylored Expressions Big Delivery stamp set, I couldn't resist making a coordinating card for the occasion. I used Deconstructed Sketch #149 as inspiration for my design.

Unfortunately, the card has a big crease down the middle... because I left the card out overnight and the bead board backdrop fell on it overnight. That's what I get for crafting late into the night. Here's a close-up of the truck and the gorgeous diamond satin ribbon in navy from Really Reasonable Ribbon's monthly club assortment. I tied the double bow with my Bow-It-All tool.

It's hard to see in the photo but the edge of the navy cardstock panel is pierced with my SU paper piercing essentials overlay. And of course, the image is colored with Copics.

Here are few more photos my Blake's big day...
