You Mean the World to Me

I surprised my daughter with this card in her lunchbox yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. She's in Kindergarten and she had asked me the night before if I would make her a card. She even went to bed all by herself so I would have more time. Gotta love that!!

This printed cardstock that I found in my stash reminded me of four leaf clovers and I love the pink and green color combination for St. Patrick's Day.

The edges of the pink pirouette cardstock and the printed cardstock are inked with Shabby Shutters and Tea Dye distress inks.  I started out with just the little pink buttons as flowers but in the end added a couple die cut flowers on the front to complement the embellishment on the inside sentiment banner.  Itty bitty rhinestones add a little bling to each flower's center.

The wild wasabi card base was really easy to make with my Sizzix XL Die: Fancy Labels Stand Up from The Stamps of Life. It coordinates perfectly with their Sizzix Fancy Labels #4 Framelits.  The final dimensions of this card is a 5-inch square when folded flat.  You can see in the photo below the little lip that keeps the card in "stand up" mode.

I added a little note on the top half of the inside panel that is hidden when the card is on display.
