Last-Minute Valentines
I had every intention of getting this card posted last night to share with you all, just in time for Valentine's Day, but I was busy most of the night making last-minute valentines for my toddler's pre-school class. I had asked the Center Director a couple days ago if the younger kids were having a party so I could be prepared and was told only the big kids... Then last night when my son got home, there was note from his teacher on his daily sheet that they were having a party and exchanging snacks the very next day!!
The valentines did turn out super cute!
The M&M treats were for the teachers and the Teddy Grahams were for the kids. I cut the 3-inch teddy bears on my Cricut using the Create-A-Critter 2 cartridge. The sentiment tag says, "I'm Beary Glad We're Friends" from the SP&Co. Love Balloons Teddy stamp set. I used the SU Hexagon Punch to cut the banner ends of each strip of SU Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
OK... so finally, here is the card I wanted to share with you this week. I made these cards last weekend and mailed them out to family yesterday. Half of them should have gotten to their destination today. The ones mailed to Canada will take a little longer unfortunately.
I used my Ultimate Grunge stamp set by Tim Holtz for the cracked glass background. The script on the large heart was stamped on Cryogen White card stock and then the hearts and black shadow were cut on my Cricut (Plantain Schoolbook) using the Roly Poly setting. The ink and smaller heart coordinate with SU Melon Mambo ink and cardstock. The sentiment on the card base and smaller heart is from the SU Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Here's a close-up:
Even though this post is a little later than I expected, I hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day and had a chance to spend some quality time with loved ones.
Other Supplies (not mentioned above):
SU 1x8 Cellophane Bag
