Interactive Cards Week

This week at SP & Company, the design team is showcasing interactive cards.  I have a slider birthday card to share with you that is a modified version of a card I shared a couple weeks ago.

I used the Cheerleader stamp by Gill Roberts for my focal point and Certified Awesome & Additions stamp sets for the sentiment.  When you pull the tab at the top of the card, the sentiment slides out.

I made a few modifications to this card from the tutorial I found on Pinterest.  You can see my other slider card here.  This card base is cut at 4-1/4 x 5 inches so that with the 1/2-inch tab at the top the card will still fit into an A2 envelope.  I left off the "double" slider and I secured the slider front to a folding card base so there would be plenty of room to write a message on the inside.

The cheerleader is colored with Copics aside from her red top and boots.  I paper pieced them to match the red striped mat.  Here's a close-up:

The diamond satin shell gray ribbon came in my December monthly kit from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  If you look closely in the photo above, I stamped the diamond background of the sentiment with Memento London Fog ink to coordinate with the ribbon.  The bow was tied with my Bow-It-All.

These slider cards are pretty awesome! You should definitely try it sometime!  I hope you join us during Interactive Cards Week.  Link up your creations on the SP Blog and checkout the other cool cards the design team has to share.
