Birthday Sweets and Treats

As you may know, it's Cupcakes and Candy Theme Week over at SP&Co.  It's the perfect theme for us as we prepare for my daughter's birthday party tomorrow.  It's hard for me to believe she's turning six and that it's October already!  I mean... where did September go?

I can't even begin to tell you how excited my daughter is about her My Little Pony party at Dream Horse Stables.  Here are the treats and party favor bags that we made last night:

The adorable little cupcake from the SP&Co Simply Sweet Emma stamp set is stamped in SU Melon Mambo. The "party time" sentiment from the SP&Co. Stitchery Doo Banners stamp set is stamped in SU Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise.  I folded the bag down, punched two small holes with my Crop-A-Dile and tied a bow in pink satin ribbon. Here's a close-up:

The M&M treats are made with 1" x 8" cello bags from Stampin' Up which are the perfect size to fit a stack f M&Ms.  For the toppers, I used Cryogen White, and orange and burgundy card stock to match the Fall colored M&Ms.  The cupcakes were stamped in Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango.  The circles and scalloped circles were cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities dies.  A colored rhinestone adds a bit of bling to each cupcake.
