First Day of Kindergarten

I so wanted to get this post up yesterday... but we had a power outage on Monday evening that has since wiped out the internet at our house.  Oh well... life goes on... literally! Besides, this post is better late than never, anyway!

So... my daughter started her first day of Kindergarten yesterday!  I just can't believe it! She did really great getting on the bus and aside from a few tears in the morning, she came off the bus smiling in the afternoon!  Whew!!  Thank goodness because we didn't have a back-up plan if she came home hating school the first day.

I've probably mentioned this before... but my daughter loves to craft as much as I do.  I decided to surprise her with this special card in her lunch box on her first day of school. It's a square flip-it card.

Most of the stamps come from My Pink Stamper's Lunchbox Thoughts stamp set.  I bought this set at least two years ago, just waiting for the day to use them.  It's a great set for parents of school-age children.

The grade school paper pad is one I had in my stack.  I added the A+ chalkboard flair from SP&Co. for good measure.  I'm super excited about how this card turned out.  And it was also a big hit with my daughter!  *smiles*

Here are a few more pics...

This one is a view from the back, with my new personalized stamp for Haystack Cards.

Thanks for stopping by!!
