Color Combo & Sketch Challenge

Today I am showcasing a card that I made for the A.R.T. #13 color combo challenge.  I thought these colors were perfect for Fall and for some reason I immediately thought of pumpkins and cranberry sauce.

I was also inspired by Deconstructed Sketch #117 for my card layout.

So, onto my card... drum roll, please... here it is:

At first I wasn't sure about adding gray to the burgundy and orange... as I had very little gray cardstock in my stash.  Going through my papers last night, I've decided I'm definitely more into bright, vibrant colors.

But I'm very happy with the way this card turned out.  The Memento London Fog and Tuxedo Black inks also add two more shades of gray to play off the color combo.

For the focal image, I used the Stamps of Life Pumpkins2Cut stamp set and stamped the middle pumpkin in Memento Tangelo ink.

The sentiment is from SP&Co's Tina Wenke Collection Mouse with Cornucopia stamp set. I thought it added the perfect touch along with the white gel pen stitch marks, clown fish button, and burgundy ribbon embellishments.

Here is a view of the inside:

I normally leave the inside blank, but I accidentally got black ink on the inside right panel.  I covered it up with a layer of orange and white.  I also added a simple outline of a pumpkin to tie it all together.  I love how clean and simple it looks.

Here's one more close-up.

May your season be full of blessings.  Thanks for stopping by!
