A Special Day for a Wedding

I am very excited to share the card that I made this weekend for Lili of the Valley's September Challenge: Ribbon and Lace.  It's another "flip" card -- this time using their Wedding Couple stamp set.

The sentiment is from the Everyday Grungy Messages set.  I used the Lady Kate Edger by Cheery Lynn Designs to create the lace detail on the card front and the Fanciful Flourish die for the leafy swirls on the inside right panel.

Here's the front:

When you open the card, the image flips around to reveal the inside of the card.  I love how the white gel pen stitch marks against the black card stock pull everything together -- both on the front and inside.

Here's a close up of the bride and groom.  I also added at the last minute some Stickles to the flowers and glossy accents to the embellishments on the ivory gown.  Hopefully you can see this in the photo.

And, these are the Copics I used to color the image:

I have to tell you, the card looks so much better in person!  It's an interactive card so it's hard for the photos to do justice.  I just love the end result!!

Supplies:
LOTV Stamps: Wedding Couple, Everyday Grungy Messages
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Cheery Lynn Designs Dies: Lady Kate Edger, Fanciful Flourish
Copic Markers

  1. Hi Jen,

What a gorgeous card! I love the pink and black together, they look stunning!
I'm really sorry but we won't be able to include it in the draw for the challenge as there aren't any ribbons or lace. We haven't deleted it as you've used an LOTV image but unfortunately we won't be able to draw it out as a winner. =(

    Hugs
