Wishing You a Magical Birthday
We've been pretty busy the last few weeks traveling so I finally had an opportunity this weekend to make some cards with my new Lili of the Valley stamps. The inspiration for this card's color scheme came from this month's LOTV challenge Pretty in Pink which was a perfect chance to practice with my Copics.
I fell in love with this Birthday Fairy and the Dreamy Days Circular Sentiments set the moment I saw them online. "Wishing You a Magical Birthday"... what's more perfect than the birthday fairy granting wishes for a little girl's birthday... ???
I used SP In Color Ocean Waves chalk ink for the sentiment as well as Memento Rose Bud to ink the edges and topped it off with a Flamingo Pink button.
Copics: R81,R83, R85, BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG32, C00, V12, V15, V17, E41, E42, E57
Here's another close-up. Hopefully, you can see the Waterfall and Cotton Candy stickles on her wings, headband, and wand.
In addition to LOTV, I'm entering this card in two "Anything Goes" challenges at MarkerPop and Color Me Creative Classroom. Wish me luck!!
This is also the first card I made for Operation Write Home. When I ordered my cling mount cushion for my LOTV rubber stamps, I discovered that you can request a free Operation Write Home stamp from StampersBest. I hope my card makes it to the troops serving overseas so they can enjoy sending it home to their little girl for their birthday one day. It's a wonderfully creative way to show our support and gratitude. Thank you, Operation Write Home!
