Let's Celebrate a Birthday!
I've been a bit behind lately on updating my website. Earlier this week, I was fortunate to take a few days off from work to spend with my sister before her maternity leave ends. She celebrated her birthday on Monday and it was great being there for it.
Dad and his wife, Elaine, came up and took us out for a birthday lunch at the new Q Barbecue restaurant nearby. It was delicious!! Here's a photo of all of us (that's me on the far left). Blake, my 6-week old nephew, did wonderful! Not even a peep.

For Jackie's birthday, I made her this card. My inspiration came from this card that I found on Pinterest. I used a new paper stack and just love--love the color combo. The cream shimmer paper is some that I had leftover from the wedding invitations I made for her.
I used SP & Company's Bold Sentiments III: Birthday stamp set for the sentiment and embellished the card with pearls. Here's a close-up where you can see the smaller pearls that I added to the printed layer.
The card was a hit! I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.
