Bears Gone Fishing
When the Gill Roberts Collection Best Dad Ever stamp set was released, I had the perfect person in mind for a Father's Day card. My brother-in-law loves to go fishing and this year is extra special because it's his very first Father's Day. His son--my nephew--Blake, was due June 14th but surprised everyone by arriving five weeks early. So, both my sister and brother-in-law were able to celebrate Mother's and Father's Day in style this year with their first child.
I colored the image with my Copics and used Colorless Blender with a wash cloth to add texture to the fur. The Kraft cardstock base needed something extra so I added score lines to frame out the card. I also added some Eucalyptus Stickles to the grass and shrubs and white gel pen stitch marks to the blue layer. I also wanted to keep the card pretty flat for mail purposes.
Copics:
Bears - E35/37/39, E50/53/55
Basket - E41/42
Grass - YG03/17/25
Bird/Bows - B21/24/26, R27/29
Water/Jar - BG0000/BG10
Rod - E29, C1/3
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! You've earned it!
