Look Who's One! Baby's First Birthday

Normally, a layout would include photographs but instead I created this layout for my sister's new baby who is due to arrive on or around June 14th.  This was the final page of a scrapbook album I created as a shower gift that documents events during baby's first year. They are waiting to find out the sex of the baby too so I tried really hard to keep the page gender neutral, playing off the colors of the background.

I used the Big Build a Banner I stamp set and die tools from SP & Company for the "Look Who's One!" banner.  Although it's hard to see, the banner is raised with pop dots to give the page added dimension.  I also discovered toward the end of my album that the lines from the Scallops & Lines stamp set in coordination with the Mini Card Creations II stamp set work perfectly together for the journaling area.

Since this layout incorporates Banners and Flags, it was also another opportunity to enter the SP & Company's Trends Challenge ending on April 16th.

Wish me luck!!  I usually stick to cards, so it was a big undertaking to delve into these scrapbook layouts.

    1. Thanks, Samantha! I also love how the banners turned out using the new die tools...and the way the Scallops & Lines stamp set worked perfectly with the Mini Card Creations II stamp set for the journaling card.
