Let's Celebrate! CMC Challenge

I discovered yesterday that the Color Me Creative Classroom is celebrating their 3rd birthday this weekend with lots of challenges ahead! I am super excited about this because for Mother's Day, I'm going to be able to register for my first set of Copics classes with their current BOGO sale!!

For this challenge, the theme of the project had to be CELEBRATIONS.  I found the Anya Celebrates stamp set by The Greeting Farm perfect for this challenge.

I haven't had any kind of training with my Copics, besides a few online YouTube tutorials. I colored Anya as follows:

Hair: E50/53/55
Skin: E000/00/R20
Khaki Pants: E31/35
Shirt/Shoes: YG03/25
Gift: BG02/05, V12/15/17

To add some sparkle to the bow and barrette, I added Lavender Stickles.  The image and sentiment are both stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  To pickup on the aqua background, I added a SP in Color button (in Aqua SeaGlass) and Blue Lagoon Twine from We R Memory Keepers.  White gel pen stitch marks are added to the yellow card base layer.

The paper I used for this project was from a coordinated birthday stack from my stash that I found somewhere on clearance and the card base is Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury Cardstock.

Both the stamped image and the sentiment banner are raised with foam tape to give the card added dimension.  Here's a close up of the card:

Thanks for stopping by!
